6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship; BHA down VHA 5-1; BIH, ASH clinch easy wins

Imphal, May 10 2016:
Bengal Hockey Association (BHA) clinched an easy 5-1 victory against Vidarbha Hockey Association (VHA) in a Group-B match of the 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship (B-Division), organised by Hockey Manipur under the aegis of Hockey India, today at Hockey Ground, Khuman Lampak.
The winning goals of BHA were scored by Faizan Sheikh (33rd, 42nd), Salman Khan (44th) and Suraj Yadav in the 59th minute.
The lone goal of VHA was scored by Arsalan Qureshi in the 40th minute.

In a Group-C match, Dadra & Nagar Haveli Hockey Association (DBH) thrashed Hockey Jammu & Kashmir (HJK) by a margin of 7 goals to nil.
A double each from Lokesh Vats (3rd, 25th), Neeraj Kumar Yadav (17th, 43rd), Uttam Singh (6th, 53rd) and a goal from Gurbinder Singh gave the seven winning goals to DNH.
In a Group-D match today, Hockey Bihar (BIH) outclassed Hockey Rajasthan (RAJ) by a margin of 9 goals to one.
Gulsan Ekka hit a treble in the 5th, 9th and 37th minute while Martin Tuli (15th, 58th) and Turtan Minz (13th, 53rd) scored a double each and Bisram Dodray and Md Danish contributed a goal each in the 63rd and 55th minute respectively.
The solitary goal for RAJ came in the 30th minute through Kuljeet Singh.
In another Group-D match, Assam Hockey (ASH) handed a crushing 9-1 defeat to Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSS).
The winning goals of ASH came from Manish Sahani (25th, 38th, 64th), Ankit Kumar (45th, 54th, 56th), Arun Sahani (36th), Rahul Verma (47th) and Mojammil H in the 52nd minute.
Mihir Patil (44th) was the lone scorer of MSS.
In the last Group-D match, Hockey Coorg (HCO) blanked Citizen Hockey XI (CXI) by a margin of 3 goals to nil.
Dilan M scored a double in the 34th and 67th minute while Chiranth Somanna scored the third winning goal in the 12th minute.
