Confident TRAU ease to 2-0 win against Jamshedpur FC

Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) which sealed their first home win against Mohammedan SC on February 28 last beat Jamshedpur FC (Reserves) by 2-0 goals in a Group C (preliminary) clash of Second Division League today at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
TRAU which defeated Jamshedpur FC 1-0 in the first away tie, had better ball possession and plenty of chances but had to contend with a 2-0 win at home as Kivi Zhimomi and Joseph Mayowa scored a goal each.
The visiting outfit which mainly consist of U-21 players did their best to mark the experience TRAU players and staged few counter attacks but without much of a result.
Despite keeping the ball under their feet, the home side struggled to find the lead until Kivi Zhimomi fired past the rival keeper from close range inside the box during additional time of the first half collecting a clever pass from striker Princewill Emeka.
The home side continued to monopolise possession in the second half and starved the visiting team, who were trying hard to made their presence felt, of any memorable chances.
Although TRAU dominate the possession and created many chances on multiple occasion, Jamshedpur FC managed to ease the pressure for major portion of the second half.
But as the game wore on, TRAU intensified the raid and it was in the 87th minute that Joseph Mayowa cracked a power-packed shot to double the lead.
Joseph Mayowa timed well to collect a pass from Princewill Emeka who was fed by TRAU keeper Mithun Sumonto on a long pass to seal the deal.
The win propelled TRAU to second spot in the league table with 12 points from 6 matches while Chhinga Veng remained comfortably at top spot with 13 points from 5 matches.
