State athlete continues lone walk to spread message of "No to drugs and stop mob-lynching" across districts

A young athlete of the State who had reached Jiribam yesterday on foot carrying the message of "No to Drugs & Stop Mob Lynching", left for Senapati today continuing his journey to spread the same message.
The name of the young athlete is Mutum Manikanta Singh (24) s/o M Gojen Singh & M Romila Devi and is a native of Chajing Karam (Karam Awang Leikai), Imphal.
He started his journey from Kangla on February 20 at around 8.30 am which was flagged off by K Prasanta Singh, President of Karam Awang Leikai Young Club.
OC N Khogen Singh of Jiribam Police station flagged off the young athlete from Jiribam in a simple ceremony organized by All Jiribam Working Journalist Union, Jiribam (AJWJU) today, to continue his noble deed of spreading the message of "No to Drugs & Stop Mob Lynching" to the next destination at Senapati district.
During the flagging off ceremony, Advisor AJWJU, Th Sarat Kumar Singh prayed for the well-being of the young athlete so that he (Mutum Manikanta Singh) can successfully spread the message of "No to Drugs & Stop Mob lynching" in different districts of Manipur.
President AJWJU, Ng Biswajit Singh wished the young athlete to successfully carry on the noble task.
Speaking to the media person, Mutum Manikanta Singh expressed disappointment about some of the bad experiences he encountered during his journey to spread the message at this important juncture.
"I have slept at some abandoned place as no one come forward to support his move.
I have faced numbers of intolerable barrier in this journey.
Therefore, I need support of the public to make the journey fruitful", he said and appreciated the warm welcome extended by the Jiribam Police and All Jiribam Working Journalists Union, Jiribam which has boost his confidence and belief.
He also added that, after crossing all the district of the State, he is likely to reach Kangla on March 13-14 .
It may be mentioned that Jiribam police accorded warm welcome to Mutum Manikanta Singh after he reached Jiribam yesterday and also helped him to stay at the guest house of DC and Jiri Police.
Jiribam police and AJWJU also extended monetary help to the young athlete today for his journey.
Earlier, on his way to DC office, Jiribam, while interacting with the media person, Mutum Manikanta Singh said that he has started his journey with an objective to spread the message about the impacts of Drug abuse and mob lynching in the society with the theme "No to Drugs and Stop Mob lynching" and had crossed some districts of Manipur.
