The Newspaper Publishers' Forum, Manipur has once again announced that the price of eight-paged coloured newspapers will be increased to Rs 3 from January 1 onwards.
The Forum today stated in a press release that considering the quality of the coloured daily newspapers having eight pages in the state, the Forum has decided to hike the price of the newspapers to Rs 3 per copy.
This was decided at a meeting of the Forum held recently.
The press release further stated that the decision to hike the price of the eight-paged coloured newspapers was taken essentially considering the rise in the prices of the printing materials.
Newspapers will be sold to distributors at Rs 2 per copy and the distributors will get a commission of Rs 1 per copy.
