TITULAR KING Sanajaoba, by taking part in the last rites of the deceased AS Wungnaoyo, chief of the Hungpung village, Ukhrul has rejuvenated the bond of brotherhood between the brethren brother in the state today.
While giving in the last rites ceremony of the village chief, the titular king said the expired AS Wungnaoyo was among those who efforted to uplift and maintained the lovely co-existence among the Tangkhul community and with the people residing in the valley areas during his life time.
He also took a great role in reviving the once extinct Mera Houchongba at the Palace.
Showing respect to his service in the upliftment of the brotherhood among the different communities of the state, the late titular King Okendrajit had also offered the title "Kgomeihanga" of Palace, he recounted.
The late chief also consoled him at the tmie when his father Okendrajit died, he added.
Among others while performing the last rites of the chief, traditional salute with swords and playing pena were also performed and Sanajaoba called for to live together among the brethren brothers with love and harmony as a mark of respect to the departed soul of the village chief.
