IDCF launched in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, May 29 2019:
With the aim to intensify efforts to reduce child mortality deaths due to diarrhoea, the District Health Society, Bishnupur in association with RKS Primary Health Centre, Thanga launched Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) 2019 at Ideal School, Thanga today.
The programme, which will be held for two weeks, was inaugurated by Ningthoujam Dinesh Singh, up-Adhyaksha, Bishnupur as the chief guest and stressed on the need to take down diarrhoea cases to zero through increasing awareness about the disease among the people.
During the two weeks fortnight programme, intensified community campaign on hygiene and promotion of ORS and Zinc therapy will be conducted at different levels in the district.
Dr T Manihar Singh, District Mission Director and CMO, Thokchom Phulobati Devi, DPO ICDS and Ningthoujam Mangibabu, Principal of Ideal School attended the programme as president and guests of honour respectively along with the officials from different departments, teachers, students and parents in large number.
