Imphal, May 29 2019:
KCP MC had released a statement earlier alleging RIMS Director of corruption in contract works.
The allegation mentioned the involvement of Governor, CSO leaders, RSS members and ABVP activists in the corruption racket that the outfit unearthed in the contract works in RIMS.
The outfit earlier, in a statement, warned the Director of RIMS on the matter and banned contract works in RIMS which do not pertain to the treatment of patients.
Now in another statement which was released today as a follow up on the previous one, the outfit stated that instead of paying heed to the matter and taking necessary action, the contactors at the behest of RIMS Director are explaining away their wrong deeds in the electronic media now.
The statement signed by Lanchenba Meitei, Secretary, Publicity and Information of the proscribed KCP Military Affairs, KCP-MC said that since the contractors involved with RIMS and the Directors continue to stand against the people, there is no other choice left for the outfit to deal with the matter other than to turn the hospital into a battle field.
The outfit had earlier stated its displeasure at the situation and urge the Director that the matter should not escalate into a level where the hospital becomes a battle field.
Now that the Director continues to run the public hospital for his own personal profit, the outfit now is left with no other choice, the statement added.
Furthermore, the outfit stated that it will continue to look into the practices of the Catholic schools in the valley.
It further stated that no catholic school in the valley has observed the ban on the religious activities in their schools.
The outfit takes serious note of their defiance.
The outfit also postponed the general strike scheduled for 2nd of June on this matter.
Now the outfit will not give the respect that it had earlier bestowed to RIMS and Catholic Schools, given the manner in which they have responded to the outfit and the people, the statement added.
