Awareness programme on "Road Safety' held

Imphal, January 16 2021:
Assam Rifles organised an awareness drive on 'Road Safety' in Sekmaijin area today to mark the 32nd National Road Safety Week.
The aim of the event was to sensitise the local populace on the road safety aspects, importance of safe driving etiquettes, wearing of helmet, following traffic rules, using seat belt and no drinking while driving, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.
Posters and pamphlets mentioning the "Dos and Don'ts" of driving were also distributed to the villagers, drivers and youths to instil the sense of road safety and safe driving amongst them, added the statement.
