Jiribam DC buys oxygen cylinders for patients

Imphal, May 15 2021:
Considering the acute need of medical oxygen in the state, Jiribam deputy commissioner Malemnganba Chenglei on Saturday procured 35 oxygen cylinders from Assam using his own money for the Covid patients of the state.
The oxygen cylinders hauled from Silchar, Assam included 30 D-type and five B-type bought at the cost of around Rs 7,15,000 .
The cylinders will be distributed to JNIMS, RIMS and other private hospitals for usage by Covid-19 positive patients.
On top it, 30 more oxygen cylinders will arrive in the state from Assam by May 18 .
It may be mentioned that, on May 6 also the Jiribam DC had brought in 15 oxygen cylinders from Silchar.
