Blood donation camp
Association of Voluntary Blood Donors, Manipur.
Thoubal district Branch in collaboration with Blood Bank and Transfusion Unit, Thoubal will organise a blood donation camp at the district hospital tomorrow.
Any individual between the age group of 18-65 and who weighs above 45 kg can take part in the camp and donate blood.
NSCN/GPRN appoints
The GPRN/NSCN has appointed Keishing as the revenue secretary of Southern zone (Manipur State) with immediate effect.
Henceforth, every revenue/finance/taxation matters and issues of the South zone should be handled by Keishing, according to a statement issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN.
Meritorious students feted
Wangjing-Tentha Kendra Development Committee organised a felicitation programme for meritorious students of HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2015 today at Wangjing High School, reports our correspondent.
The programme was graced by Wangjing-Tentha AC MLA Paonam Brojen Singh, M Manilal Singh, Zonal Education Officer and Heikham Chaoba Devi, Chairperson, Wangjing-Lamding Municipal Council.
UNC gratitude
The United Naga Council (UNC) has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to tribe presidents and district apex organizations, Naga frontal organizations, district and regional apex organizations, Church leaders, political parties, activists, social workers, volunteers and every individuals for extending their fullest support and co-operation during 48 hours of vehicular bandh on all the national highways beginning from June 16 midnight, reports NNN.
UNC once again appreciated one and all for making the bandh effective and also informed to remain with all out preparedness to face any challenges and eventualities in future.
BSF endeavours
As part of its yearlong Golden jubilee celebration, 54 Bn Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a recruitment awareness camp at Chingdompok High School, Heirok-II ground on June 17-18 under the aegis of Commandant 54 Battalion.
According to a statement, the main aim of the camp was to create awareness about BSF recruitment procedure as well as to motivate the youth to join BSF.
About 220 youths, both boys and girls participated in the camp.
PET, medical test and lectures on recruitment procedure in BSF was conducted by Dr K Momo Kom, CMO (SG) and staff during the camp.
