No quality control in college new buildings: AMSU

All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) on Saturday alleged that all the newly constructed buildings at Biramangol College, Sawongbung did not maintain quality.
Speaking to the media persons at their office, AMSU HRD Secretary N Kapil Chandra said that AMSU volunteers visited the college campus on Saturday and found many new building which was being constructed under UGC 11 & 12 finance.
Kapil said the college was established on 1973 and 3534 students are studying in the college.
The college still lacks infrastructures in the library and computer lab, he said.
Kapil further said that the new college governing body has to select one local educationist in the geographical structure area.
AMSU urged the authority to take up immediate steps and to come the college governing body before June 25 at AMSU office.
If they fail AMSU threatened to take necessary action against them, he added.
