CM hands ex-gratia amount to martyr's family

Imphal, March 16 2021:
Director General (DG) of Border Security Force (BSF) Rakesh Asthana called on Chief Minister N Biren Singh at the Chief Minister's Secretariat today and the Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh under 'Major Laishram Jyotin Singh Ex-Gratia Scheme' to the family of Sub-Inspector (GD) Paotinsat Guite of 59th Battalion BSF, who died due to bullet injuries during exchange of fire at Line of Control (LOC) under Rajouri Sector in Jammu and Kashmir on December 1 last year.
He hailed from Maphou Kuki in Kangpokpi district.
Asthana also handed over Rs 1 lakh to the family from his side.
