Imphal, September 15 2011:
The total hill district bandh called by ATSUM regarding TET exam centres has been called off with immediate effect.
A press release issued by ATSUM said that it held a marathon meeting with the Government today and accepted the Government's version of difficulty in arranging the exam centre as it is the first time TET exam is conducted.
The Government assured that the next TET would be conducted in hill districts too, and that the next teachers' recruitment would be done on district cadre norms under which a teacher once recruited for a district cannot be transferred out of the district, conveyed the release.
