Imphal, February 25 2012:
A two-day national seminar on 'Traditional and Modern Trends of Manipuri Translation', organised by Central Institute of Indian Languages' National Translation Mission, Mysore in collaboration with Manipuri Sahitya Parishad has begun from today at Iboyaima Shumang Leela shanglen.
As chief guest of the inaugural programme, former chairperson of Manipur Women Commission Dr Ch Jamini Devi noted that culture and traditions of every community settled in Manipur need to be translated for wider understanding as well as to promote integration.
