Seven trafficked kids brought back after 8 years

In a rare case of its kind, seven children, who are victims of human trafficking, have been brought home from Rajasthan after 8 years.
The seven trafficked children include three girls and four boys.
Almost all the children are from M Songgel village in Churachandpur district.
These children were reportedly taken from their respective places around 7-8 years back when they were very young.
According to report reaching Hueiyen Lanpao, the children were taken from Churachandpur with the consent of their families on the pretext of giving good education in Rajasthan.
They have been staying for the last 7-8 years at the Emmanuel Orphanage, Kota, Rajasthan.
These children were brought back to Manipur from Rajasthan on February 25.They were escorted by a team led by a member of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).
The team included 6 police personnel of Rajasthan (3 male and 3 female), three members of Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Rajasthan and two members of Child Line, Rajasthan.
The report further revealed that the children were rescued from the Emmanuel Orphanage, Kota, Rajasthan after the state government informed NCPCR that seven children from different parts of Manipur have appeared to have been trafficked to Kota, Rajasthan.
Accordingly, NCPCR raided Emmanuel Orphanage, rescued the children and brought them back.
The team first contacted the ChildLine, Imphal City and brought the children to Imphal on February 22.From Imphal, the children along with the team were taken to the Observation Home at Rengkai in Churachandpur by ChildLine, Imphal City, on the same day.
Along with the seven rescued children, the authority concerned of the Home was given all the related documents signed by Dr L Mishra, Special Advisor, NCPCR.
The Observation Home is run by one Nicky Thanga, who is also a member of CWC, Churachandpur.
Subsequently, the children have been handed over to their respective family members.
Interestingly, the children and their parents can hardly communicate with each other since the children have no knowledge of the language of their parents.
