Strongly condemning the ransacking of a shop run by a Sikh family at the bazar area today by the landlord of the shop, the Manipur Sikh Society has today sought an appointment with the Chief Minister to apprise him of the threat perception felt by the minorities.
In a submission made to the Chief Minister the Manipur Sikh Society today said that the landlord came and ransacked the shop which is run by a Sikh family who have been staying at Manipur for ages.
Moreover the tenant is a lwful occupant, said the Society adding that he has also paid an advance of Rs 3 lakhs plus deposit to the landlord.
