Decrying monetary demand of Rs 5 lakhs by a KCP faction served to one grocery shop keeper, Meira Paibis of Sagolmang, Khewa, Patlou and Wakhong jointly organised a mass sit-inprotest demonstration at Sagolmang market today.
Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the protest demonstration, assistant secretary of Women Prohibition Committee Bishorani Sarokhaibam informed that KCP (Khaba group) served a demand note of Rs 5 lakhs to one Laishram Bhakta, a grocery shop owner in Sagolmang market.
Stating that such a huge monetary demand on a grocery shopkeeper is unthinkable, she also appealed against service such monetary demand on small time farmers and shopkeepers who are trying hard to meet their ends.
