Imphal, December 24:
The Mayai Lambi bandh imposed to protest the deplorable road condition has been extended for an indefinite period due to alleged lack of positive response from the State Government.
The 48 hour Mayai Lambi road blockade agitation imposed by Irabot Road (Mayai Lambi) Improvement Committee to press for repairing of the said road stretch ended today.
The Committee, it may be mentioned imposed the blockade as the memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister last month on the same issue had failed to evoke any response from the Government.
Copies of the memorandum were also submitted to the Works Minister Th Debendra Singh and to the local MLA who is also the Social Welfare Minister W Leima Devi.
