Imphal, December 21 2009:
The Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) has conveyed gratitude to 22 Assam Rifles based at Maram for the timely rescue operation they launched following a tragic bus accident at NH 39 on December 17 .
A press release issued by SDSA said that rapid intervention of 22 AR officers, doctors and jawans in providing first aid, ambulances and medicines saved many lives though three precious lives were lost in the accident.
It also thanked all those organisations and individuals who contributed physically, financially and supported the medical team at Maram and Senapati.
It also shared the pain and grief of the bereaved families of the deceased victims as well as injured ones.
