Imphal, February 19, 2012:
Taking strong exception to merciless assault on Sehlon villagers by troops of 36 Assam Rifles, different units of the Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) have urged upon the Chief Minister to transfer away the 36 AR CO.
Representatives of KSO Ghqs, KSO Chandel district and KSO Khengjoy Block called on Chief Minister O Ibobi today and apprised him about the incident.
Presenting a detailed account of how the AR troops mercilessly thrashed the villagers including women and children on February 14, the student representatives asserted that AR troops were not there for protection of people.
