Imphal, December 13 2017:
Loukrakpam Rajeshwori Chanu (14) d/o L Rajen Meitei of Arong Khunjao Mayai Leikai who sacrificed her life while saving her aunt and a child from drowning in Imphal River on November 13 last year has been posthumously selected for the National Children's Bravery Award 2017 .
The award would be conferred by Prime Minister Narendra at a special function to be held at New Delhi ahead of the Republic Day 2018, conveyed a press release issued by the Manipur State Council for Child Welfare.
