Imphal, September 02 2009:
The Kaiphundai Students' Union (KSU) has resolved to launch indefinite NH-53 bandh if the Government fails to punish the IRB jawans involved in thrashing its vice president Kakhandai Gangmei at a place between Khongshang and Rengpang on July 25 last besides snatching his gold chain, reports our Jiribam correspondent.
Identifying the guilty jawans of 5 IRB as Jamadar Sami Gonmei, Kajaojien Meijuanthui, Dingamlung and Guinilung Newmai, the student body has set September 10 as deadline to the State Government to fulfil its demand.
The student body further warned of launching intense agitations besides imposing indefinite bandh along NH-53 if justice is not delivered at the earliest.
