District and Session judge, Manipur West has fixed Sept 9 for the final arguments on a bunch of cases pertaining to the killing of 10 civilians by personnel of 35 Bn CRPF at Tonsen Lamkhai in October 1999.Following a battery of writ petitions filed by the bereaved families of the 10 deceased including school going children and women before the Guwahati High Court, the later had on Feb 10, 2002 ordered to hold a judicial inquiry by the dist and session judge Manipur East.
Hence the session judge has been initiating the inquiry since than till it fixed September 9 for the final arguments, said advocate N Umakanta, counsel on behalf of some of the family members.
