DGAR's Joupi visit boosts morale of troops

Imphal, February 07 2018:
On 06 Feb 2018, Lieutenant General Shokin Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, DGAR visited 29 Assam Rifles, which is presently located in a very remote area of Chandel District, Manipur.
The DGAR interacted with villages Chiefs of Saibol Joupi, T Bollen and Nakon villages.
The purpose of the visit was to motivate and encourage the troops of 29 Assam Rifles who were deployed in such a remote area and inhospitable terrain.
The DGAR interacted with the troops over a cup of tea and discussed the problems faced by them and how they overcame them every day.
The DGAR also presented 10 'on the spot' Commendation Cards to troops of 28 Sector Assam Rifles in recognition of their hard work.
Overall, the visit by DGAR proved to be a great morale booster for the troops of the battalion.
