CM discusses Phumdi issue

Imphal, October 06 2010:
A meeting presided over by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today has discussed the issue related to removal of Phumdis from Loktak lake through Keibul Lamjao National Park.
According to a reliable source, the meeting was attended by IFC Minister N Biren, MLA Ratan and officials of Forest & Environment and LDA.
Forest and Environment has put restriction on removal of Phumdis from Loktak lake by LDA through the National Park before releasing them through Manipur river as it affects the Park.
