Medical camp held

Imphal, April 26 2016:
12 Bihar Regiment of 9 Sector Assam Rifles
under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) organised a free medical
camp for the children of Orphanage at Takyel in Imphal West dis-
trict on April 24.
The children of the orphanage Meiti Phurub Children home,
Takyel were screened for general medical problems, eye ail-
ments, Hepatitis B alongwith dental disorders etc, said a press
release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S).
A total of 80 children and 20 adults were treated and
medicines were distributed to the children.
The Medical Officer emphasized upon the importance of
these screening camps to have an everlasting impact on the
health of the local populace.
The Medical Officer, 12 BIHAR reiterated the significance
of organizing these camps on a regular basis by the Armed
Forces to boost health and moral of the children and the locals.
He further added that such endeavour would strengthen the
bond between the locals and the Armed Forces.
The effort was
appreciated by the Pradhan and other prominent personalities
of the village.
