Training programme

Imphal, April 26 2016:
A month long State level training on "Youth
leadership and personality development" under
the National Programme for Youth and Ado-
lescent Development, Ministry of Youth
Affairs and Sports, Government of India was
set into motion today at Amity Guest House,
DRDA conference hall, Chandel, a statement
informed.
Altogether 30 youths from Bishnupur,
Imphal West, Thoubal and Chandel districts
are participating in the training programme.
Sh Manglem Monshang, ADC Member,
Chandel; Y Romio Chothe, secretary,
United Tribal Development Project (UTDP),
Chandonpokpi and W Ibohal Singh, District
Youth Coordinator, NYK, Chandel graced
the opening function as chief guest, presi-
dent and guest of honour respectively.
W Ibohal Singh, in his key note address,
highlighted the importance of organising the
training programme for the benefit of the
youths of the district.
The first 15 days of
the training will emphasise on leadership
qualities, life skills, personality development,
volunteering, effective community participa-
tion, youth development, youth empower-
ment, environment and waste land develop-
ment, gender justice and sensitivity, good
citizenship, good governance and promotion
of national integration, promotion of health,
sanitation and family welfare activities.
There will be also be 3 days field visit
module during the course of the training
programme, he added.
