Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, September 24 2013:
The All India Bank strike scheduled for Sept 25 has been deferred following clarification by the Govt of India before the Central Labour Commission during a reconciliation meet held yesterday that there was no immediate agenda of the Govt on merger of the subsidiaries of State Bank with SBI and other nationalised banks.
A joint statement issued by the All Manipur Bank Employees' Association, Manipur and Bank Employees' Federation of India, Manipur however said that the bank employees will resort to sudden/ wildcat strike as and when the merger of banks emerges on the Govt's agenda.
