Imphal, March 29:
Timely treatment of a snake bite victim by medical personnel of 12 Maratha Light Infantry saved the life of one Angangthoi Koijam Bokha (19) s/o Akoijam Kiran of Ningombam village, said a release of PRO Hqs IGAR (S) today.
According to the release, Angangthoi was bitten by a poisonous snake on the left foot while fishing and was brought to the Battalion hospital in critical condition yesterday after which the medical officer administered anti-snake venom treatment to save his life.
When his condition stabilised, he was discharged from the hospital, it added.
