Imphal, March 29:
Dismissing as false and baseless the charges levelled against the Director of RIMS that he has taken large sum of money from the contract staff nurse for regularising their services, the Director himself, Prof L Fimate has clarified that prior information had already been conveyed to the contract staff nurses that regularisation of contract appointments is barred by the Supreme Court of India.
Moreover, reacting to news report published in some print and electronic media that the said amount was given to a boy, the Director in a statement issued today said the mentioned individual (boy) is neither related to him nor is he (Fimate) responsible for such transaction.
The boy was a contract employee of RIMS who had been already terminated from service for unauthorised absence, the Director disclosed while rejecting another allegation of effecting communally based appointment in RIMS.
"This is also false and baseless.
Appointments are done on the basis of the reservation policy," he clarified.
