Imphal, August 25 2016:
Questioning as to how the State Government
hopes to touch all the issues prevalent in the State in only two days
of Assembly sessions, the Secular Democratic Alliance of
Manipur has urged the State Government to raise the number of
days for the upcoming Assembly session.
The alliance, in a statement issued by its secretary Kh
Gyaneswor said the first day of the Assembly will conclude
with the Governor's address, obituary reference, BAC report,
introduction of new Bills and formation of Financial Commit-
tee etc leaving only one day to discuss the varied issue of the
State.
"There is the issue of GST among others that need to be
discussed in detail.
How does the State Government hope to
touch all the issues in a single day", the alliance secretary said
in the statement while appealing for longer House session.
The next State Assembly Session will take place on Sep-
tember 2 and 5 .
