Imphal, June 05 2009:
Around 500 villagers of Namching village today availed the benefits of the free medical camp organized by the authority of the 28 Assam Rifles today.
Among other, medical officers in the medical camp conducted BP and dental check-up during the camp.
Medicines were distributed to the patients free of cost.
In connection with the occasion, the commanding officer of the 28 AR said, his unit also distributed rice, dal, sugar, etc.
to 15 poorest family of the village.
The 15 families were among 50 families identified as living below the poverty line.
He also assured all kinds of help that can be imparted by the unit to the villagers.
