AR conducts medical camp

Chandel Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a free medical camp forthe children of orphanage home, Chandel today.
During the camp, free medical checkup was conducted for all the 78 children and members of the orphanage.
The medical team distributed free medicines to all including iron and folic acid to the children.
The children were treated for the deficiency of haemoglobin, anaemia, skin infection, fever and cough and cold.
The medical officer of Chandel Battalion gave lectures on general health and hygiene and water borne diseases and precaution against malaria.
He also conducted the sanitary check up of the orphanage and encouraged the children to keep their surroundings clean and sanitised.
The main aim of the medical camp was to bringing smile to the innocent faces of the children by improving their health and lives.
The Orphanage home, Chandel expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for providing free medical assistance to the children and for helping them in understanding the importance of a healthy life style and clean surroundings, said a statement of PRO IGAR (South) today.
