5th Cash Prize State Level Archery Competition concludes

The State Level Archery Competition 2018 organised by 6 Assam Rifles at its Keithelmanbi Garrison came to an end today.
The 3-Day Archery Competition began on October 4, 2018.The closing function was attended by Maj Gen KP Singh, YSM, Inspector General IGAR (S) as the chief guest Bachaspatimayum Chaoba Sharma, who was recently felicitated by the Governor of Manipur with "Governor's Innovation Award" on October 3, 2018 graced the function as guest of honour.
Brig Amit Kabthiyal, SM, Cdt 9 Sect Assam Rifles was also present at today's function.
The Competition was held on three events, Indian-50 mtrs, Compound-50 mtrs and Recurve-70 mtrs.
More than 100 archers from 16 clubs participated in the events.
In the Indian Round for women's final, Chirom Debiya of SICA recorded 6 points to bag the gold while P Soniya of YAC managed 4 points to settle with a silver.
MPSC's M Aruna finished 3 with a score of 7 points in the semi-final.
Ch Boris of BCAC, S Rustam of YAC and K Arnold Singh of AAC stood first, second and third position, in the Indian Round for men with 6, 2 and 9 points respectively.
SAIRC's Sh Monorama and M Rupam Devi shot a total of 137 and 136 points to finished first and second in the women's individual compound event while L Dulina Devi of ACE grabbed the third place with a 141 score.
S Ramakanta Sharma of GAC scored a total of 144 points (10) while S Rajendro of SAI-RC managed 144 (8) points in the compound event final for men.
M Vikram Singh of UAC claimed the bronze medal by collecting 146 points in the semi-final round.
The medals to the winners for the Indian and Compound events were honoured by the chief guest, Maj Gen KP Singh, YSM, Inspector General IGAR (S) .
In the 70 m Recurve event for women, Th Sanai of SAI-RC fetched a gold with a total of 6 point while Y Anupama Devi of NSA finished second.
VAA's Ksh Manglemsana bagged the bronze medal for her score of 146 in the semis.
NSA's Kh Rohit, Md Aman Ali and AK Amarjit Singh shot 6, 0 and 6 points respectively to finish first, second and third position respectively men's recurve event.
Bachaspatimayum Chaoba Sharma feted the men's and women's medallists in the recurve events on the occasion.
Students and parents of Assam Rifles School were also present at the closing function.
