38th State Age Group Athletic Meet 2018
PRSG bag 8 gold on day 2, KNSAA continue to lead

PRSC collected a total of 16 medals including 8 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medal today in the 38th State Age Group Athletic Championship 2018 being organised by Athletic Association of Manipur at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium to follow closely KNSAA and SAI-RC which continued to hold the first place and the second place till the end of day 2 .
KNSAA collected a total of 7 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals today to remain at the top of the tally while SAI-RC added 7 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals to hold the second spot.
Day 2 Events
RACE: Kh Roson of KNSAA clocked at 16 minutes 14.20 seconds to win the first gold medal of the day in the 5,000 m event for men while HYC's Sh Romesh and PRSC's S Sadananda finished second and third.
KNSAA's Kh Herojit and T Ananda respectively took 16:57.01 sand 18:07.12 s to win the gold and the silver medal in the 5,000 m race for U-20 boys.
W Lanthoiba of AMESSCO finished third in this event.
Md Edrish of SAI-RC took 9:44.67 to win the gold medal in the 3,000 m race for U-18 boys while HYC's Kh Manja and L Ingo claimed the second and the third spot.
In the 3,000 m event for U-18 girls, PRSC's W Tamubi won the gold with a time of 12:74.37 while A Sai of HYC and Ms Ajima of LSA finished second and third.
In the 2,000 m race for U-16 boys, PRSC's Y Arjit took 5:56.96 to finish first while his unit mate Md Jahid and Kh Ramananda of KNSAA claimed the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
Th Babina of KNSAA took 7 minutes 27.72 seconds to win the 2,000 m race for U-16 girls which was 22 seconds better from WSC's S Roshni.
Kh Anjani of SAI-RC claimed the third place with a time of 8:15.84 seconds.
In the U-16 girls 400 m race staged today, H Bhumeshori of SAI-RC took 1:033.66 seconds to win the gold while Wm Rabiya of LSA and Najiya of SLSA finished second and third.
In the 400 m race for U-18 girls, S Bijaya of PRSC and Rohima of LSA finished first and second by taking 1:13.39 and 1:31.54 each while M Pakpi of NISA claimed the 400 m women's title with a time of 1:24.94 seconds.
In the 400 m race for U-16 boys, RK Dayananda of SAI-RC won the gold with a time of 51.71 seconds while O Sanajaoba of WSC (52.08) and Bs Warish (54.27) of SAIRC finished second and third.
In the U-18 boys' 400 m race, Md Ziaulhaque of SAIRC won the gold medal by taking 52.38 seconds while Chingkheingapba of PRSC took 52.76 seconds to settle with the silver medal.
K Jemson of KNSAA who took 57.68 seconds claimed the bronze medal.
Jadav of NSU (51.53 seconds), M Milankumar (53.04 seconds) and Ayush Pandey of NSU (56.45 seconds) won the gold, silver and the bronze medal respectively in the U-20 boys 400 m race.
M Aiken of PRSC took 49.49 seconds to finish first in the 400 m race for men while N Tokyo (53.02 s) of HYC and L Athouba of MPSC (54.23 seconds) claimed the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
In the 10,000 m race for men staged yesterday, Roshan of KNSAA finished the course in the 34 minutes 47.12 seconds to add a gold medal for his unit while S Romesh of HYC managed 38:25.14 s to win the silver.
Th Premjit of MPSC finished third with a time of 39:01.43 s.In the U-20 boys 10,000 m event, Herojit added another gold medal for KNSAA recording 36:25.28 s while PRSC's W Alex (41:11.47 s) and Th Ranjan (43:24.00 s) finished with silver and bronze medals respectively.
M Ranjana of KNSAA clinched a gold medal in the 5,000 m race for U-20 girls with a time of 23:12.89 s while Yaisana L (28.30 seconds) of PRSC and L Krishnakumar (30.56 seconds) of SAI-RC finished first and second respectively in the U-16 girls 200 m race.
NSU's Pathak Jahnavi and Sufiya clocked 26.93 s and 27.24 s respectively in the U-18 girls 200 m race while Bijaya Seram of PRSC finished third with a time of 30.93 seconds.
N Shakhenbi of AMESCO clinched the 200 m women's title with a time of 35.57 seconds.
HAMMER THROW
Kh Robinson of SAI-RC threw 21.27 m to win the title of Hammer throw event for-U-18 boys staged today while KNSAA's L Loiyangamba clinched the men's title with a 39.39 m throw beating MSC's M Debraj (35.02 m) and MPSC's S Maipak (30.00 m).
MPSC's S Laxmi (33.05 m), M Arundhati (24.50 m) and M Asharani (20.74 m) claimed the gold, silver and bronze medal in the women's hammer throw event.
LONG JUMP
H Lanchenbi of PRSC grabbed a gold in the U-14 girls long jump event by making a total of 4.15 m while K Bidyaluxmi of WSC (3.84 m) and Kh Omila of SAI-RC (3.80 m) bagged the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
In the longjump event for U-18 girls, M Bindiya of PRSC jumped 3.90 m to win the gold medal while Cho Tracy of PRSC managed 3.83 m to finished second.
Rohima of LSA jumped 2.35 m to win the bronze in this event.
Sarita Pradhan of NSU finished first in the women's long jump event by recording 4.42 m jump while A Surbala of MPSC (4.22 m) and M Pakpi of NISA (3.62 m) won the silver and the bronze medal.
In the U-14 boys competition, L Mangalsana of SAI-RC jumped 6.05 m to win the gold medal while, N Umakanta of KNSAA (5.77 m) and H Jenit of PRSC (5.39 m) claimed the silver and the gold medal.
M Nelson of KNSAA and his unit mate S Premkumar managed 5.29 and 4.83 m jumps to win the gold and the silver medal respectively while HYC's Devjit M finished third with 4.44 m mark.
S Medhajit of FUC won a gold medal in the U-18 boys long jump with a record of 5.15 m while H Arunkumar of KNSAA and Lalheiba Mayengbam of NISA finished second and the third with the same jump of 5.12 m .
In the U-20 boys competition, Md Shaheed of LSA jumped 5.85 m while PRSC's Tiba Robert (5.60 m) and M Prabinda of FUC (5.35 m) bagged the silver and the bronze medal.
MPSC's K Rameshchandra (6.68 m), Th Roshan (5.90) and H Herojit (5.43) won the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively in the men's long jump event.
WALKING RACE
N William of MMC won the U-18 boys 10 km walk with a time of 50:53.29 while Nimaichand A of the same unit took 53:18.55 to win the 10 km walking race title for U-20 boys.
Ngouba of AMESCO (56:31.81), Sh Maikendro of MPSC (56:52.01) and A Dara of PRSC (59:18.99) won the gold, silver and the bronze medal respectively in the 10 km walk for men.
L Chaoba of MMC (1:02.55) and Chouba of HYC (1:07.00) finished first and second in the 10 km walk for U-20 girls while Anita of LSA and Bibicha of MPSC finished first and second in the women's competition.
STEEPLECHASE
K Bikram of HYC (10:05.85) won the 3,000 m steeplechase title for U-20 boys while a Sanathoi of PRSC and O Subota of AMESCO finished second and third.
In the 3,000 m men's event, Y Gopeshor of PRSC took 10:39.21 seconds to win the gold while Md Minhajuddin of LSA and W Manoranjan of MPSC won the silver and the bronze medal.
In the U-18 boys competition, L Rishikesh of KNSAA won the gold with a time of 6:45.15 seconds while S Amand of SAI-RC and L Ingo of HYC claimed the silver and the bronze medal.
M Ranjana of KNSAA won the 2,000 m steeplechase title for U-20 girls with a time of 14:37.89 .
HURDLE RACE
Bs Warish of SAI-RC won the 100 m hurdle race title with a time of 14.61 seconds in the U-16 boys competition while H Hemchandra and Md Rose Khan of KNSAA won the silver and the bronze medal.
Wm Rabiya of LSA won the U-16 girls 100 m hurdle race by taking 19.81 seconds.
Anilkumar I of NSU won the 110 m competition U-l 8 boys with a time of 15.96 seconds while KNSAA's K Joshikumar and M Janenanda bagged the silver and the bronze medal.
Ksh Pritam of SROY bagged two gold medals in the U-20 boys events, first in the 110 m hurdle race with a time of 17.03 seconds while the other gold in the 400m event by taking 1 minute and 6.25 seconds.
W Yaiphaba of PRSC won the 400 m hurdle gold in the men's competition with a time of 1:02.65 seconds.
L Tiken of KNSAA (1:07.88) and K Boybao of MPSC (1:14.82) won the silver and the bronze medal respectively.
