Kuki Inpi, Manipur (KIM) has appealed to the group responsible for the abduction of the three PHED officials to release them unconditionally in the interest of all section of the people in the State.
KIM has no knowledge of the intention behind the abduction, but in the interest of the family members of the abducted officials in particular and the public in general, fervently appealed to the abductors to set them free, KIM general secretary Jangmang Haokip said in a release.
The apex body of Kuki Community also appealed to the Government to do the needful towards securing the safe release of the official, while requesting the people not to raise unnecessary alarm as it could worsen the situation.
The three officials namely Ak Sarat (AE), Ksh Tombi (SO) and W Vashkar (SO) have been abducted by armed cadres of Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) on November 8 last while they were going on an official duty to inspect the progress of a water supply scheme at Nongpok Keithelmanbi area.
KLA has demanded Rs 50 lakhs as ransom for the safe release of the abducted officials.
