Imphal, September 30:
Even as the whereabouts of driver Md Sahauddin is yet to be established, a number of State drivers presently at Khatkhatti have fled the place abandoning their vehicles following renewed threats from unidentified gunmen.
Sources said that a group of gunmen came to the place Where the drivers were staying with the vehicles and warned them to leave the place without ado if they do not want to meet the same fate as Sahauddin.
Following the fresh threat, a number of drivers have fled the place leaving their vehicles behind, informed the Y Bhupenchandra, president of the Manipur Petroleum Tanker Drivers' Union.
