Imphal, September 30:
Eight persons were injured when the canter they were travelling met with an accident near Ghari on the Tiddim Road this morning at around 9, said sources.
The injureds have been identified as RK Ranjana (25) of Nambol Thiyam, Achom Tombi (40) of Malom, Yumnam Ranjita (10), Warokpam Sanatombi (25) of Leimapokpam, Oinam Roma(25), Maibam Bijen (16), Soram Kesho (40) and Bona Vaphei (40) of Khuman Lampak.
All of them are presently undergoing treatment at RIMS.
In another incident, unidentified miscreants set ablaze a truck (AS 25/B6073) carrying cement near Kwakeithel Kongjeng Leikai this afternoon at around 4.40, said sources.
However the fire was doused by Fire brigade personnel who rushed to the scene on receiving reports about the incident.
Meanwhile, a total number of 77 vehicles including seven LPG carriers and four passenger buses arrived at Imphal today.
On the other hand 66 empty trucks and one passenger bus left for the neighbouring State today.
According to another report, an eighteen years old youth was admitted at RIMS after being involved in an accident at Sagolband Moirang Leirak this morning.
