Abhishap staged at National festival

Media Theatre Institute Imphal's production Abhishap has been successfully staged at the 8th National Drama and Dance Festival organised by the Jagran International at Deogarh from January 24 to 30 .
The play directed by KB Sharma had already won several prizes at the 42nd National Folk Dance and Drama competition held at Allahabad from November 10 to 19 last year.
The principal theme of the play is that seeking happiness by bartering one's soul is like digging's one's own graveyard.
At the Deogarh festival, 10 different plays were staged.
Talking about the Deogarh festival, playwright and director of the Media Theatre Institute Imphal, Kakchingtabam Birhari Sharma, popularly known as KB Sharma said that hospitality of the festival organisers was highly remarkable and quite attentive to every need and details.
They also paid TA/DA to the Media Theatre Institute Imphal troupe for their travel from Imphal to Shambalpur railway station in addition to paying Rs 3500 as production cost.
At Deogarh, the troupe was provided an impressive rehearsal hall and also five rooms of a guest house.
Kakchingtabam Birhari Sharma said that Deogarh is a place of natural beauty with little signs of human transgression.
