RPF derides surrender events

Imphal, October 25 2011:
Categorically stating that only the pseudo revolutionaries who did not have the mettle and conviction ran way from their organisations and surrendered to the Government, the proscribed RPF has asserted that such surrender ceremonies would not deter the liberation movement a bit.
It were these deserters the Government of India and the State Government were welcoming in the name of home-coming or coming back to the mainstream, remarked the outfit in a press release issued by its Publicity Secretary T Leisemba.
Saying that such surrender ceremonies were proud events for both the State Government and the Government of India, the outfit, referring to the October 21 surrender ceremony held at Hqs IG AR (S), questioned as to why the surrendered cadres were masked.
If they were masked for security reasons, there was no point as their parent organisations knew all their details.
Alleging that security forces have accustomed to fake encounters, the outfit noted that Advocates have challenged security forces when they (security forces) produced the same weapon/gun again and again while producing arrested cadres or civilians.
Noting that certain localities have clarified that the men who surrendered to Government/security forces were not residents of their localities, the RPF wondered if there were certain people who have perfected the skill of acting in such surrender dramas.
As such, it can be assumed that all those people who have been taking part in such surrender dramas are imposters, Leisemba added.
Incidentally, 17 UG cadres of different outfits laid down arms before Chief Minister Ibobi on October 21 .
