Tamenglong, October 25 2011:
The people of Tamenglong are once again facing another shortage of electric current.
Eight consecutive days have been passed since 18 October 2011, and yet there is no positive response from the concern department.
As usual, no official of the power department was found at the power sub-station of Tamenglong.
Surprisingly no civil organisation or individual have also raised their voice though people have been severely affected.
It is recorded that the district has only thirteen days of electricity supply during the current month, that too, only for 2/3 hours in a day.
Due to irregular power supply people living in the district has been severely affected.
In far flung villages, people are reportedly using torches made of bamboo sticks to light their houses at night.
