Restriction imposed on climbing hill/hillocks in Bishnupur

In the face of coronavirus outbreak in the country, Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur Neeta Arambam has ordered the closure of Ishok Chingphu Ching, Leimaram Waroiching (Waroi Ningthou), Konung Lairembi, Bishnupur, Thinungei Maning Lainingthou Sanamahi Cheiraoching, Naranseina Maning (Lamding Manbi) Reserve Forest, Mamang Chingjao, Moirang and Kumbi Setupur Cheiraoching to prevent the very real threat of contracting and spreading of the highly contagious COVID-19 .
It is a tradition and culture to climb the hill/hillocks or visit Ibudhou Thangjing Ching Kaba after the festival of Cheiraoba.
The Deputy Commissioner also issued a restriction on entry of visitors to all Government offices located in Bishnupur district, closure of malls, restaurants, public eating, hotels, all-conference halls, drama theatres and tourist spots to the public in the State.
Restriction of the number of people allowed to attend religious family functions has been reduced to 30 persons.
