Imphal, September 06, 2013:
Contrary to claim by State unit BJP president Th Chaoba that four Congress councillors of Ningthoukhong Municipal Council have joined the BJP in denunciation of Congress leaderships' inept handling of the dissension within the Council, Bishnupur Block Congress Committee secretary N Jadu Singh contended that the four councillors were already expelled from the party due to financial irregularities.
Speaking to newspersons at Manipur press Club today, Jadu informed that councillors RK Bimola devi, L dilipkumar, Kh Sonolata and L Binodkumar were expelled on multiple charges of violating party principles, indulging in anti-party activities as well as financial indiscipline.
An executive body meeting of the Block Committee held on January 13, 2013 perused reports submitted by the members of ward development committees and consequently decided to annual the four's membership from the indian National Congress, said the Committee secretary asserting that any activities of the four, thus, have nothing to do with the Congress organisation.
