Teachers' Day celebrated widely in Chandel district

Paying respect and showing gratitude to teachers, Govt and private schools across Chandel district celebrated Teachers' Day yesterday.
A variety of cultural items were performed by students and gifts were presented to the teachers on the occasion.
At Chakpikarong sub-divisional headquarters, Chakpikarong Govt.High School organized the celebration in a grand manner at the Mini Indoor stadium with DI and Addl DPO CDL L Koireng Aimol as Chief Guest and Maj Sunil Dayal of 32 AR as Guest of honour.
A team of SSA Chandel Officials and staffs of the ZEO Chandel were also present during the function attended by many special invitees and guests including SMDC Chairman Hl Thungam, Anal Christian Forum President Rev SR Tourngam, ANCA President RD Thumdang and Dr Ps Kevan Anal.
Apart from L Koireng and Maj Sunil Dayal, Headmaster of Chakpikarong Govt.High School N Amuyai Singh was also among others who spoke on the occasion highlighting the contribution of teachers in the society.
Other Private schools in Chakpikarong areas also celebrated Teacher's Day in their respective schools.
All schools under the Autonomous District Council, Chandel also jointly celebrated Teachers' Day at Indoor Stadium, Japhou bazaar at Chandel district headquarters.
Organised by Autonomous District Council Administration, Chandel, the celebration was attended by Chief Executive Officer, ADC, Chandel L Darsinso Aimol; Additional Chief Executive Officer, Chandel Ts Kothar and Inspector of Schools of ADC.
Chandel TK Moshilpha as Chief Guest, Functional President and guest of honour respectively.
During the function, the administration awarded Bd Thungkhel, K Mongam, T Aneng, Js Rose, Ws Hnungping, Kh Amujao Singh, Ch Joseph, Th Margret, Kl Rose, Rt Chandani, Kh Shantikumar Singh, Maku Miphun, L Darenthui, D Peter, A Basanta Singh, M Jonah, L Ruwngpham, N Nimai Singh, L Neikhothang, N Nunching, Rd Shanglum and W Chancila who are all Autonomous District Council teachers.
