Dr Yaronsho Ngalung takes over as new caretaker Chairman of UADC

Dr Yaronsho Ngalung today took over as the new caretaker chairman of Ukhrul Autonomous District Council (UADC) in a felicitation programme held at ADC office complex Phungreitang, Ukhrul.
The programme was moderated by CEO Ukhrul, Polly Makan.
She welcomed the newly appointed caretaker chairman, Dr Yaronsho Ngalung on behalf of the Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Yaronsho dwelt on holding early ADC elections for installing grassroots governance at the earliest.
He stated that due to the delay in conducting ADC election in the hill districts of the State, the grassroots governance has been paralysed.

Dr Yaronsho mentioned that the State Cabinet in a bid to fill the vacant ADC and considering the recommendations made by the State Executive Committee, Relief and Disaster Management Department has appointed all the existing chairmen of ADCs on May 17 as the caretaker chairman.
The Caretaker chairman would not exercise any financial powers and would look after the normal duties of the District Councils, he added.
Dr Yaronsho also assured to cooperate and work together with the former councillors to execute his duties fairly.
David Kashungnao ADM Ukhrul urged the people of Ukhrul to extend their cooperation and strengthen the relationship with elected representatives to bring tangible development.
Later, Rev Mayonsing Ngalung Pastor, Viewland Baptist Church blessed the new caretaker chairman, Dr Yaronsho Ngalung.
