BJP youth volunteers distribute medical items at Karong AC

Youth volunteers of BJP on Saturday distributed medical kits to the villagers of 47-Karong AC during a function held at the residence of Dr V Alexander Pao, ex-MLA under Sewa International.
Sewa International is a 'Not for Profit' organization inspired by the spirit of Sewa or Selfless service, working towards promoting voluntarism-driven social projects for humanity.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Alexander Pao stated that Karong AC is fortunate to receive the medical kits which are essential in the fight against the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic.
He mentioned that selected 25 villagers have been assisted with medical kits while adding that similar assistance would also be provided to the rest of the villages under the assembly segment soon.
Ravi Shankar, RSS Manipur in-charge mentioned that disaster management has been a major focus area of the organization while adding that they have been involved in rescue, relief and rehabilitation work across 16 major disasters.
He continued that as a pioneering non-profit for Covid-19 relief operations, the organisation has distributed more than 8,000 concentrators across the country till date along with ventilators.
As part of their grand mission towards Covid-19 relief, medical essentials to more than 1,25,000 villages and slums across the country have also been provided to boost early detection, isolation and medication for Covid patients, he asserted.
The RSS leader further assured the gathering that the organisation will continue to serve the people of the country.
The items distributed on the day included Oximeter, digital thermometer, masks, sanitizers, hand gloves, face shields, first aid medicines, PPE kits, potato seeds, etc.
