FOB Chandel organises ICOP on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Chandel, November 28 2021:
Field Outreach Bureau, Chandel under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting organised an Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Monsang Pantha Village Community Hall, Chandel district today.
It was attended by Mothil Saka, SDC Chandel HQ; Ng Vincent Monsang, chief/chairman; and Dr Willson, Food Safety Officer Chandel as presidium members.
The programme began with an invocation prayer by Ng Johnson, Diploma Catechist.
Speaking on the occasion, Ng Vincent Monsang stated that Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India.
Mothil Saka stressed on the importance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and urged the people to identify historical forest, lakes, monuments, etc and report to the Government for survey.
Dr Willson elaborated on how the Europeans came and started settling in India through the British East India Company.
He also enlightened the gathering on the struggle for India's freedom from 1857 to 1947 and the role of various Manipur freedom fighters in India's freedom struggle.
The programme was also participated by M/S Achouba Artist Association, Singjamei Chinga Makha, Imphal West District.
Later, a quiz competition was also conducted and prizes distributed.
The ICOP concluded with a vote of thanks by Ng Micky Victor Monsang, Ningthou of the village.
Ng Salim, president MPYCC, was the moderator of the programme.
