Cong protests price rise in Bishnupur district

Bishnupur, November 28 2021:
Bishnupur District Congress Committee organised a sit-in-protest against escalating prices of goods particularly essential commodities at Ngakchroupokpi Khwairakpam under Oinam assembly constituency on Sunday.
The protest was attended by Committee president Md Noor Rehman, vice president N Birababu, treasurer M Bhogendro Singh, secretary (administration) Th Beikul Singh, and Kisan Cell president Kh Nando Singh, Nambol Block Congress Committee president L Lokendro Singh, Oinam Block Congress Committee vice president N Ingocha Singh, Kumbi Block Congress Committee president N Bhagirat Singh, INC intending candidate from Oinam AC Th Ithoibi Devi, INC intending candidate from Kumbi N Ibohal Singh and United Front Manipur chairman Th Surjaboro Singh.
Congress workers from six assembly constituencies of Bishnupur district also took part in the protest.
Regarding the protest, Ngaikhong Khullen GP pradhan M Mangol said that prices of goods including essential commodities have sky-rocketed during the reign of BJP government thereby giving severe hardship to poor people.
To bring unity among the people for raising their voices against price rise, Congress party launched Jan Jagran Abhiyan campaign across the country and Sunday's protest was part of the ongoing campaign, he added.
