Imphal, November 28 2021:
The armed People's War Group (Marxist Centre) has conveyed that the outfit, which was established for the peasants with Marxist Doctrine in 2016, celebrated its 5th anniversary on Sunday at different places in Manipur (Kangleipak) and outside.
According to a statement of People's War Group (PWG), the main celebration was held at outfit's general headquarters (GHQ) while edibles were presented to elderly people and children at different places of Kangleipak as part of the celebration.
The PWG statement issued by its Central Media Co-ordinator secretary Leriin Meitei said that the popularity of fascist BJP government in India is declining and the withdrawal of three farm Bills and results of by-elections in some states of the country are vivid examples.
Withdrawal of three farm Bills had shown that peasants' movement launched in revolutionary character and spirit cannot be suppressed by any force, the outfit said and lauded the spirit of mainland India's farming community.
In complete contrast to the spirit of farmers in mainland India, fundamental rights and the right to life in Kangleipak are diminishing and the numbers of people who believe in begging for survival are increasing particularly in the past few months.
Due to excessive belief in Indian electoral politics, a stage has reached for the Kanglei people to remain under complete dependence on others for survival while their own culture, tradition and rights are being sold out for some selfish gains, the outfit said and expressed concern over the likely fate of Kanglei society as more women are taking deep interest in Indian electoral politics.
