Imphal, September 08 2012:
The proscribed RPF has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack which targeted a foot-patrolling team of 18th Sikh Regiment near Tidim Ground, Kwakeithel at about 8.10 this morning.
A press release issued by the outfit's department of publicity chief Taohangsu Heiremcha said that the bomb attack was carried out by its armed wing PLA.
Similar bomb attacks would be carried out further until all the Indian military personnel are driven out from the soil of Manipur.
The PLA have laid bomb traps for the Indian military at all convenient places where there would be no civilian casualty.
People should avoid and stay afar if they see Indian military personnel coming on patrol duty.
Instead of appealing not to plant bombs in civilian areas, people should ask for withdrawal of military personnel from civilian areas.
For fear of inflicting casualty to the people, PLA has been restricting its warfare by targeting only a couple of the Indian military whereas it can target scores of military personnel at one time.
Since the battle has already begun, people should provide information about the military personnel staying amongst the mass at villages, schools, markets, offices etc, said Taohangsu.
PLA would be more than happy to fight the Indian military when they come out to isolated places like foothills.
The outfit also advised all concerned not to stage sit-in-protest when Indian military personnel are killed or injured.
It is everybody's knowledge how the Indian military oppressed the people of Manipur.
Those few women who have no scruples to tie rakhi on the hands of Indian military personnel are only inviting their own disgrace and misery rather than gaining any benefit
or respect.
The outfit also advised all Municipality Commissioners, Pradhans and Zilla Parishad Members to stay away from Indian military personnel.
The PLA is always worried in case any civilian got injured in its bomb attacks.
Yet, if the situation demands, there is no guarantee that PLA would not attack Indian military in presence of civilians.
As such, it is important for one and all the Indian military's strategy to use civilians as their shield, Taohangsu asserted.
